Our Review of Nybakat Cafe & Bakery

Nybakat is a Swedish bakery inside Forum Marbella that makes everything from scratch, and it shows. The name means "freshly baked" in Swedish and that's exactly what you get — sourdough loaves, buttery croissants, cardamom rolls, and their signature kanelbullar all come out of the oven daily. The coffee is excellent too, organic and properly made.

Our go-to is the grilled cheese sourdough sandwich. It sounds simple, but on a rainy day it's the ultimate comfort food — warm, melty, and made with their own bread. The kids love it as much as we do. The pastry display is dangerous — the croissants are flaky and golden, and the cinnamon rolls are the real Swedish deal, topped with pearl sugar.

The cafe sits on the Fountain Floor of Forum Marbella, with a terrace in the courtyard that's a lovely spot to sit when the weather's good. Inside is cosy enough for when it's not. Forum itself is a nice shopping centre with easy parking, so it's a convenient stop if you're in the area between Marbella town and Puerto Banús. Buggy access is no problem — it's all flat and spacious.

💡 Tip

It's inside Forum Marbella on the Golden Mile. Parking available on site. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30am to 4pm. Get there early for the best pastry selection — the kanelbullar and croissants go fast at weekends.

If you miss Scandinavian baking or just want properly made bread and pastries, Nybakat is a real find.
